ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) is a widely used thermoplastic that is characterized by a balanced combination of strength, toughness and good processability.
Thanks to its excellent formability, ABS is particularly suitable for processes such as injection molding, extrusion and 3D printing. It is used in numerous industries - from the automotive industry to consumer electronics and toy manufacturing.
In addition to classic ABS, there are other styrene-based plastics that are characterized by specific properties and areas of application:
SAN - is transparent, chemical-resistant and rigid - ideal for household goods and laboratory equipment.
ASA - is characterized by UV and weather resistance and is suitable for outdoor applications such as automotive parts.
Transparent ABS - combines the mechanical strength of ABS with optical clarity, e.g. for displays and lights.
